Its 10:42pm, day 2 of class and Paris is even better than yesterday!
We went to l’Arc de Triomphe today- “the arch of triumph” and it was absolutely breath taking! (literally between this and the metro…i think i broke a world record of steps taken scaling stairs today)
but before we went there we found a hole in the wall sandwich shop that had suprisingly well priced food! they were so good. Jambon et fromage sur une petite baguette avec une salade verte. (ham and cheese on a small baguette with a salad)- its so hard for me to not speak in French now ughhh enggglish is so awkward.
oh yeah and i’ve started to dream in french…..a. lot.
The view of la tour eiffel was INCROYABLE (incredible) from l’arc de triomphe. i so enjoyed being able to just observe this beautiful city the birds eye (or pigeon eye- the only bird existing, in abundance, in Paris): all of the roads, lined with uniform trees, sprout from this central arch, the tiny insect-ine cars below disperse randomly as if they are fighting for an invisible morsel below. - its truly a miracle that there aren’t more wrecks here? the Champs Elysees puts any US traffic hour to shame.
